I will latch on to the easiest thing for me to comment on - Leonard Cohen. I've only just got into Spotify and I spent a day off yesterday listening to so many of his later tracks that I just did not know. My buying of him had stopped at 'Songs from a Room' and I was wary of trying out his later songs. How wrong I was. His voice is even worse now but the songs are just as good.
Glad to see you still blogging, B.
French Fancy - Nice to hear from you. First, about blogging ... I'm barely hanging on with it ... not much motivation for it. At times I feel like I'm shouting into a long, empty tunnel and not hearing an echo. I've spent more than a few minutes asking myself, "why bother?"
And secondly, about Leonard Cohen ... There's a nice documentary about him and his is an interesting story. I like many of his latter in life poems/music, he has a deepness and sensibility I appreciate.
No brown paper packages tied up with string?
JOe - I tie a mean bowline ... after that, I have almost no knot tying skills.
As for brown paper ... it's all gone, went out with the recycling.
