how I spent (some) time in Bellevue

Bellevue, for those that don't know, is a large city, located directly east of Seattle, across Lake Washington. It has skyscrapers, sidewalks, Bellevue Mall, Audi and Porsche dealerships, Overlake Hospital, two main exits from I-405, Nordstroms, Apple, Neiman Marcus, Whole Foods, Home Depot and Taco Del Mar.  Bellevue is a new city, approximately 29 months old.

Anyway, we went there to see some cool stuff made by Japanese artisans - everything was made with bamboo.  Typical Master Japanese Craftsmanship on display. Awesome attention to detail, wonderful constructions, shapes and forms. Some things were wall art, others were variations on a basket and others were pure imagination.

The show is at the Bellevue Arts Museum and will be there through early Feburary.

I don't care where you live, you must see this show.

I don't have photos of the show - just Google Bellevue Arts Museum, they have some pics.

Otherwise I have these to fill-out today's blog.

I also included a gratuitous photo of the newly remodeled Apple store in Bellevue Mall aka, Bell Square.

I dunno, I'm not used to doors intimidating me.

I was by myself, hey, really it was okay.

This is a metaphor for something. I'm certain because I went to art school.

I really would like to work at an Apple Store.  I would sell lots of stuff.
